new HD DC4 outlet stays hot

Purchased a DC4 some time ago and finally hooked it up and programed it to just dose vinegar for now. Anyway, when my AC (Jr) shows it off, it is still on. I tried manual control, rebooting, disconnecting-reconnecting the DC4 all to no avail.

Over 4 years, I've had no issues with my DC8, but the potential to have vinegar stay on is disconcerting.

Suggestions?

The DC4HD has 4 relays. This sounds like a stuck or fused relay. With a relay, sometimes a sharp rap on the case will unstick it. Did you try the other outlets?

I did hammer the case to no avail. If the relay can be freed, is there any reason to believe it can be reliable? I'll try the other outlets.

Disappointing as this unit is fresh out of the box.

Tks

programmed in a test program on a different plug. Now I've found the unit has no power. It's difficult to access/see inside where it's mounted and I'm unable to locate the fuse that I believe is supposed to be inside the case. Where is it located? Standard automotive type fuse or looks different? A radio shack part perhaps or from Neptune only?

Thanks

I'll,check their website for a self help. I did speak with a "tech" guy at Neptune today. Seems this is a "legacy" part and before his time so was unable to help me. Perhaps a call back will come.

"Legacy", so I guess this stuff is obsolete. I'm not liking throw away stuff. I was raised to troubleshoot and repair and simply buying the next "legacy" to be system isn't my choice. Makes one appreciate the constantly upgradeable and serviceable nature of products like the Ecotech marine pumps and their outstanding technical support.

I suspect you got the new guy who has only been there for several weeks. I'd call back and get him to confer with Curt.

Any luck finding the fuse?
