New here. Green algae problem

Been lurking here for a few months now and love all the insight and information given. I've had my tank up and running for little over 4 months (46g bow), it's gone through the diatom phase (which was a little scary at first lol). I get my water quality tested at my LFS weekly and it's been spot on everytime.
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Salinity 1.025

Tank
46g bow
40 lbs live rock
20g sump
Protein skimmer

Inhabitants
2 clown fish
1 yellow tail damsel
1 blue green chromic

Blue leg hermits
Snails

1 mushroom coral I believe

So my issue I was hoping to get some help with is I've had this green algae progressively growing on the rocks and haven't been capable of ID it or how to treat it. I've tried scrubbing the rocks during a WC with a new toothbrush and it did nothing to the algae. I was hoping someone had some suggestions

That green algae your seeing is most likely just a prelude to the purple Coralline algae we all love so bad. No worries.

Exactly what it is. .I'm assuming that the rock in the picture was once dry rock or possibly a very clean rock.what your seeing is benificially a good sign.if you start seeing hair algae then you have something to worry about

Hopefully that's what it is. I haven't seen any hair coming from the algae. Yes some of the rock was once dry and I've been dosing daily with purple tech and have noticed some new coralline forming is spots on the rocks.

Does any sunlight hit ur tank?

+1 New coraline growth. People work hard to get this in their tanks. The only thing to watch is coraline growth will consume both calcium and alkalinity like stony coral growth. If you don't keep up with this you can have future problems.

The damsel may cause problems down the road on a tank that size.

Since upgrading my lighting to AI Hydra's, I am also seeing green algae growth. Is this still a good thing, or a sign that maybe I am running UV too high?

More a sign that your tank has a load of phosphate. Try a GFO reactor.
