Roger,
Do you have any comments about this new skimmers? how they differ from the ones that Tunze has in theiur catalog? do you see them in action? are the recomended sizes conservative or is better to buy the next size to get the optimal results?
I have several of the Tunze products and after try them AND has been received the BEST customer service from you, all that I can say is that I need a new protein skimmer and will be a TUNZE of course!.

The new skimmers are from what I saw almost twice as powerful as what we offer now. The ratings are not yet finalized. We were unsure as to how we were going to rate them- with the volume for a soft coral tank or the volume for an SPS tank which should have twice the skimmer performance of a softie or LPS tank. For SPS the ratings should be 250L for the small one, 500L for the medium one and 1000L for the largest one. They are really nice skimmers, I know their was a technical issue that we are trying to resolve and this might delay release. Fast flow through the sump knocks the bubbles out into the sump and could lead to microbubbles in the tank. We are trying to minimize this or find a recomendation to solve it. The prices will be about the same as now for the 3115, 3130 and 3140, a little more for the smaller one and a little less for the biggest one. The other nice feature is you can easily upgrade between models with the new design. We initially intended to release them in November. I am hesitant to give a date because when it gets to November I can't see how anything will enter production when we are usually at the limit trying to meet demand for Christmas of the current products. I am going to say a late January/early February release is far more likely.

Thanks Roger for your response. Im in the market for a new skimmer and will wait for this units. I'm right now in a waiting list for the wavebox; saw the video and it is amazing, thats exactly the water movement in the ocean!, great for corlas and fishes.

Yes, the wavebox is pretty amazing. I think it is very close to the natural flow but a bit faster.
