I know, but most people have not seen it yet.

Everyone is welcome to bring their lighting fixture and use my meter and equipment to test the PAR, but please come early (by 7pm) to avoid conflict with regular LIRA meetings and activities.

If possible, we will also put different lights side by side on my reef tanks for your easy comparison.

Interestingly enough that I have seen these chinese lights evolve to 2w LEDs at 55 LEDs per same size housing.

Did you see them on the website? Any change in price? I was looking through the website last night and there are litteraly hundreds of lights to choose from. I didn't get through all of them.

Mine are still running great and my sps are colored up and look better than ever. Although my tank has matured going past 1.5 years at this point, so I cannot say it is the lights. I am very happy with the lights and electricity they save, compared to running 2x250w mh.

I did not look at the website, as you have mentioned, there are hundreds of these lights + multiple sellers that are probably getting it from one factory since the housing all look the same.
I saw the 2w fixtures mentioned at a LFS in NJ where the owner imports them and services them. He's selling them for 4 bills each.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Glad you're all having success with them. Do you think that two units with the 1watt bulbs would be ok for a 65gl mixed reef 36x18x24?

Did the lights that you guys ordered come with an equal amout of blue and white bulbs?

It should be more then fine since most people are using 2 units over a 48" length tank.

Yep 2 should do fine, that's what I have over my 120.

We added some purple (actinic) bulbs to our mix, overall purple/blue is higher then the whites. Similiar to an 18k bulb look.

The units that i found advertised were going for $325. They come equipped with 35 white and 20 blue 2watt bulbs, two cords, two switches, and fans. Thats not a bad price but i'm not sure if i can even afford them at this point with the holidays so close.

Hey guys, im from south africa and im thinking of ordering 20 of these LED units being talked about, can all you guys who have them give some input of there quality, coral growht etc, basically are they any good and worth it to buy or is it just another one of those products that are good for few months and then you have to chuck them away
