Hi all our LED lights just came today!! Super excited!! And nervous at the same time lol Wondering what other members experiences are with switching out T5s to LEDs are? We have a 65 gal tank that we have been running 6 T5s (3 cool blues, 1 actinic and 1 pure white) and now will be running a Steve's LED Sps Retro Fit kit with 32 Luxeon ES 3W Royal Blue 31 Luxeon ES 3W Neutral White with Typhon Digital Lighting Controller and Steve's LED Advanced Moonlight System with a Color changing LED driver
Any suggestions on how to start out with these ie... intensity? Height? Thanks in advance for any and all advice!!

I don't have Steves led's, but I have made the switch from T5s to led's. Leds have a more intense, concentrated light. Even though they may appear the same brightness it takes the coral some time to adjust to them. Start at 50% and work your way up over time. Maybe 10% a week and see how the coral react. It is a trial and error process. Good Luck. I feel its well worth the switch and the my corals reacted very positively once they adjusted. maybe someone with Steves could chime in.

63 is a lot of LEDs for a 65. I would start out with them somewhere in the 500mA range and very slowly move up from there.
