I think someone spilled some radioactive material in your tank. that's the only way that they could glow like that.

awesome pic...
I would like to know what camera and lens did you use?
I am between a Canon Rebel or a Nikkon D-80?
But soon I will have to make a final decision.

First off.....I opened up the post at work last night and the frogspawn does look like its glowing so Joe No radioactive material in my tank. My Monitor is calibrated different then others. The picture was taking was a Canon Xti with my 100mm 2.8 micro Len with a set of Kenko tubes 36mm 20mm12mm. Hope your not lost yet....because here comes the best part. All the pumps were off in the tank the only moon lights were shining on the coral I took 3 shots at 3 different focal lengths. No for the post process,,,,The images were stacked....thei is where you can take a few pictures and stack to get your DOF......My stacking job didnt come out ther way I hope it would,,,,but think was my first time.....Ok now of to PSC3........opened the full pictures and looked my croping points....I did a 100% crop. next made 3 layers of the picture.called them froground backround and filter. for the backround layerI adjusted the contrast down to where it almost looks black, wish makes the coral pop off the page. now for the coral I adjusted curves and unsharpen mask. then tweaked the contrast a little on the coral........let me remind you with this len setup when you frame your picture yout not seeing the corals body.......you can see right thru the skin.......I think plus with the moon lights gave it that greenish tint.....Im going to look for the before process picture and post both......closde to the same.........what throws it off is the DOF backround being so dark
I will post a picture of the len setup

Here's a picture of the frogspwan in my tank....It has a pretty bright green color with the lights on

I did find the photo that looks like its glowing......if you noticve here the backround is intack......you zoom in the coral it gets more green....I dont like when digital pictures dont look natural.....underwater shot seem to through my white bakance way off......I have a custom WB for when shooting my tank buy for some reason it only works on the lens I dont use.....
Here a picture with the backround

Yeah, that color is awesome! Both the pic and the coral! Did you do any color correction on that?
NanoKat.....adjusted the curves snd unsharpen mask played with the contrast a little....I guess all in all it did do a color correction....but not much if you look at the unedit vwersion its pretty glowing green......plus with the dark backround makes the coral pop.......the backround isnt painted its just way dark...its on its own layer

How do you like the extension tubes? Is that the full auto set from Kenko? How much closer can you focus with the 3 stacked on the 100mm?

I've thought about getting a set, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Jeff yes I have the Auto set of Kenko....they work much better on my 50mm lens then on 100mm. I think the 100mm shoots better without the tubes......I like it with the 50mm easy to handle.
Pull the trigger you will make use of them

BTW, if you have a 1.4x teleconverter, you can put it on the 100mm macro with a small extension tube. Turns the 100mm into a 140mm for a larger 1:1 working distance.
