Tracy, Rita, and myself went to Denver yesterday and stopped by a couple of the usual fish stores. I bought a huge fox coral from Ki's and did some browsing elsewhere, but I was most impressed with Great Barrier Reef. Chad is the owner and used to be partners with Ki. They have went their separate ways and Chad recently opened his new store. It is on the SW corner of Yosemite and Maximus, very easy to get to and the closest one to Co. Springs.
Chad mostly carries LPS and Clams along with softies and zoas. His prices are excellent and his livestock is beautiful. All his tanks are made by him and his dad and are 100% acrylic. All the sands and canopies are made from black acrylic which makes for some awesome displays. He has a 172? bowfront and a 350 room divider that is stocked full of corals, and many smaller tanks around the outside walls stocked with fish.
I bought a blasto rock that had four different colors of wellsi species for $98. A local Springs store is selling a three species wellsi for $190, so I though that was a really good buy.
I also talked to Chad about possibly sponsoring the club, and showed him our membership cards, and he seemed very receptive to the idea. So if you get up there, it is well worth you time to check it out.
I need to stay away for a while as I saw about 4 large corals that I really wanted.
