I just found out there is a new LFS opening in two weeks on the westside. It is on Mesa just before Fiesta. It will replace My Saltwater World which is now an empty space.

I met the owner today, his name is charlie. I talked to him for a short while and he is a nice person. He bought the store from Dennis and is moving it to the new location. It will be called AQUALIFE.

Charlie sounds familiar!!! Will have to check my phone. It's hard to tell because everyone wants to open a saltwater store now a days. lol

chuy marquez, thanks for the heads up. It will be closer for us Deming people, but has some pretty big shoes to fill to make me not drive to the far east side to go to The Coral Reef. This is JMO

shea, thanks for the heads up, and tell this dude to get on here or if anyone has any info would be great, eric thats pretty close to ya. haha. ill check it out, but ive been happy with the coral reef and sea creatures right now even though i live on the westside.

Yeah thats really close to my house. Its close enought to tell my lady that I'm going to the gas station and come back with coral clole. LOL!

Erik--nothing like telling the honey, "hey babe take a rest, I know you have worked hard all day. Let me do the grocery shopping.....honey I'm home." honey,"'where is all of the food?! And why did you buy all these fish and corals with our food money?!!!! GRRRRRRRRR"

I don't go to that extent but I do try try to sneek a thing or two every time I get a chance. for example today she doesn't get home from school till 4pm I get out of school @ 1pm, that gives me time to buy something, acclimate it and strategically place it in the tank so she doesn't see it immediately. Sneeky sneeky! LOL

 :lol2:

I got in trouble because I placed bids on ebay on corals and "accidentally won them". The ebay account is tied to my email, BUT Paypal is tied to hers. She found out. I am as she said, "grounded". :sad2:

Reef empire has damn good selection and everything starts at 1 dollar. Real reasonable on shipping. CCA is another one (I think it is amanda1318? Is the eBay handle). Great customer service. LA Reef is another one.

I try to stay away from the east coast/Midwest/southern state sellers. They have ok selections but the shipping is f'in expensive! Plus, they don't let you bundle other winning bids as the west coast sellers do.

The downside to buying at eBay is how honest the vendors are, the prices can be driven up insanely regardless of how much you "set you max limit (you are going to bid till you win!)", can be more expensive then an LFS, and you don't get the interaction as you do at an LFS like The Coral Reef. Plus, I support good, honest, fun local businesses as TCR with Daniel and Leonor.

Steff--You can't out bull-sh!t a bull-sh!tter! Do I surprise you? I am available! :lol2:

Oh yeah, I also support Steffen and his little outfit in this rink-a-dink town. Support local y'all!!! To many small businesses are going out of business cause of this crappy economy and the big dept stores driving them out.
