New light aclimation?

Do I need to do anything special when I replace my light (the one that came with the tank, the basic deal) to the T-5 I got coming next week? I'm guessing this may freak out my fish a bit. Is there an aclimation process or can I just put them up and turn them on??

It's a FOWLR, but I have a BTA that I took from a guy who couldn't keep it and was going to toss it away. No corals or anything.

If you're worried about your lighting, top your tank with a bit of black windowscreening, or [if really bright, a double layer, then remove one layer, etc.]

BTW, I think a FOWLR is the best place in the world for a collection of anemones. They really don't do well with corals, but in a FOWLR, if you have a yen for wavy things that will sop up spare food and be relatively immune to fish predation, they're a good thing.
