I put up a new Evergrow IT2060 on Thursday, and since then I am experiencing a diatom bloom. I cleaned the sand, the glass, and did a 10% water change.
I am currently running the lights on a 12 hour schedule with maximum blues at 70 during midday and maximum whites at 40 during midday. Should I cut the intensity down some, reduce my lighting period, etc.?
By the way, these things are really bright!
Also, before the water change my nitrates were around 10ppm. Afterwards, back to 0. I am also running Chemi-pure Elite.
