new lights

i just switched over from t5 to 2 10k 250 watt metal halides. My question is how long will it take for my corals to get use to the light? As well how long will it take for them to color up? I have had them running 5 hrs a day from one four five days ago adding 1 hr every other day.

But in all seriousness, it should take a couple weeks for everything to return to normal. Make sure you're starting out with a very subdued version of the MH lighting, and slowly increase intensity, and duration. There are many techniques that can be employed... the easiest, and my favourite, being a few layers of screen-door screen placed between the light and the tank, removing a layer every day or two to increase intensity.

sry i miss typed it lol what i meant to say was right now im running them 5 hrs. I increased the lights by 1 hr everyother day.
