New lights

How badly was it damaged? Maybe can fix it up, obviously still get a refund or a replacement one, to have a spare etc.

And yeah LEDs are bright, avoid looking directly at them as with any bright light really, but more so with LEDs as they are very directional :) When I was working on my DIY modules I would wear two pairs of sunglasses when i had to look at them at an angle lol.
I believe his issue is they 'incinerated' his package and just told him "sort we f*ed up on this one......." and kind of left him in limbo on reimbursement or replacement

My 60" unit showed up today. The packaging was really done well. They must have ran over Fuzzy's to destroy it beyond repair. The unit is like looking into the sun. I'd post pictures, But can't them to attach.

Yes, FedEx destroyed the one light... Literally.

The box was crunched to the point glass was falling out through the rips. The problem is when the package was refused, there were no pictures taken. LEDZeal keeps asking for pics of the damage, I keep saying FedEx tossed it - there will be no pictures.... My last reply was sternly worded - saying I expect a new fixture. Today's reply was we're still investigating, FedEx will only give them $100. Apparently they didn't insure the fixture for full value.

So basically, I'm getting the runaround. Which really ticks me off because I am very happy with the fixture I received.

But - if they don't clear it up in the next couple days, I will start a grievance with PayPal and my credit card. I really hope it doesn't come to that....

Update on the LEDZeal fixture. Kevin stepped up and sent me a new fixture. It took a while, but the wait was worth it. I ordered some extra parts and he quoted me a price from FedEx. He decided to ship with DHL, which was a bit cheaper and he sent me a credit to my PayPal. Needless to say I'm very happy he took care of the situation.

I temporarily installed one fixture on Friday using the legs. All I can say is WoW! It took some tweaking to get the controller programmed, but once I figured out how it works, I'm very happy with it. I will be changing out 12 of the blue LED's to Royal Blue to give it the deep blue actinic color that I like. But all in all I'm very happy with the fixture. So far the only negative is the fan on the PSU is loud when it fires up. I think a quick fix will be to add a small muffin fan over the cooling slot and suck cool air into the unit.

I don't like the hanging hardware, so I've ordered some T-Track and will hang the fixtures using stainless steel hard rigging points. Once that's done, I'll post some pics showing the difference between my MH/T5/LED rig and the new LED's side by side.
