I got this Red Lobophyllia ? from my lfs . I was very surprise by the size of the base of this coral it most be at list 6"-7" long hard skeleton under the coral , looks like they cut it off with a hammer is this normal my first Lobophyllia. I always see them flat in the sand. This one i can only put it between the rock works it is off center under 250W MH 14K .
Any thing i need to know about this coral i'm newbie here ;)

Yes it is a lobo. Nice one to. I have had some with bases that long before. Wedged in between some rocks is the best place for it. May need to acclimate it to your lights depending on what it came from at the LFS, nice find.

It came from a 175W MH 20K i just put it between the rocks take a look it may be to close to the fragspawn is about seven inches between those two i can move them if i have to but i have all the SPS on the top part of the reef .I hope the lobo don't droop down it is on a vertical reef wall .
The LFS had it for $98 he need to have $190 for the two . But i got the two for $120.... i always give him SPS frags for nothing .
Here is a picture from a distance and here is the Other LPS i got.

I would just watch it closely due to the upgrade in light. The trachy is pretty sweet to. The lobo should be fine with placement just make sure it is getting light.

I place it right between the two MH about 15" down from the bulbs , it is not very bright but it gets some indirect lighting i can always put my 10K XM back on.:D But i think it looks good where it is . Is this Lobo will expend like the trachy sorry about all the ? never had lobo before.

The lobo will expand a little but no where near the size of the trachy.
