New LT anemone being assaulted by clown

About an hour ago, I just put a new LT anemone in my tank for my Maroon Clown... he is happy... WAY too happy. He's being really rough and aggressive. I am afraid it will damage or stress the new anemone. Any ideas?

That tank is too small for an anemone.
It's also too small to house a maroon clown long term.

Please, return them to the LFS and do some research on what's appropriate for your tank before buying more stock.

Maroons are so aggressive, I've known a couple people that had their anemones killed by them. I do have to agree that both are too large for your tank. I have a pair of percs in my 12. I was thinking of trying some green star polyps for them to be in.

this is normal for clowns to be aggresive .MAKE SURE THEY ARE COMPATIBLE. if they are compatible they will be fine.

Did you actually read the first post?

Yes, maroon clowns are aggressive. But no, they aren't necessarily going to "be fine." An extablished maroon clown can easily stress a new anemone to death.

Second, we are talking about an anemone that can easily grow to a good 18" in diameter. A 12 gallon tank is a mite too small.

Thank you for that feedback. Both are doing well. I will need to start looking into a bigger tank. What size would you suggest?
