new magnet trouble

trying to get the new magnets set up so far no luck can anybody help with this a little tutorial the kits came with no instructions seems pretty simple but either the base wants to spin out of control or the propeller doesn't spin right. I have gone back to my old sets for now.

Only hand tighten the nut.

I plead guilty Mr. Crab!!!!!! btw all said in done this up grade is great sync mode much better, love the feed mode and the sync mode is better then ever. magnet much quiter and don't have to worry about rust

Labman... what was the problem you were having installing the new magnets? I will be doing it soon just wanted to get an idea of what to expect.

I'd be interested in what the problem was as well. I received my upgraded controller yesterday and with two magnet kits and want to install them tonight. Any advice would be great. I have to concur the Gen 2 controller upgrade is awesome. I flashed my second controller with no problem and setup the night mode. Well done EcoTech. Thanks for taking care of the existing customer. Not too may companies do that anymore!

I will try to do a pictorial latter for converting the magnet set this is difficult though cause I have nobody to take the pics but I will give it the collage try and put the camera on a tripod btw the new magnet is much quiter and the pump runs cooler definitely worth getting.

I was having the same problem because I forgot to take the nylon washer off the old shaft/magnet and place on the updated ones.

This is probably the most common problem people have. Otherwise the installation is the same as the removal of the old parts.

I was going to say I just updated my magnets and it was easy! (Except I tightened one too much by accident and the prop would not spin)

Yes make sure you move over the nylon washer!
