New magnets for stream pumps

Hi Roger,
I recently purchased some new 6045s and I noticed that all of them have magnets that are not encased in epoxy. In other words, the blocks of magnet are completely exposed to the salt water.
Is this how the new magnets are made and can you assure me that they are not going to rust at all in my reef?

The new magnets are ferrite, this is the same magnet most impellers are made of (maxi-jet, etc) and it is a ceramic and does not rust. It can however attract iron to it which will rust, but the material itself will not.
