New to this mantis thing, had one about 4 weeks.
Anyway, my wife is convinced that our mantis called Norman is not a mantis at all, and I'm starting to think so too. Came as a hitchhiker on some Florida rock.
Anyone tell me what species this is, or that it's not a mantis? (Gonna feel real dumb if he's not
)
My wife has her suspicions as we've not hear any knocking and he has yet to kill anything. We have a couple of peppermint shrimp, hermits and last night I added some smaller snails and a small emerald. I thought maybe he was a fussy eater
So this morning I awake to find this!!!!!!
Not quite the killer I was hoping for :hammer: My work colleagues suggested some kung-fu movies for him to watch.
He was being fed bits of shrimp and squid every day or so, but I've not fed him for 3 days now in an attempt to get him to do some damage to something.
Do I have a pacifist mantis shrimp or some other critter?
Any suggestions to get him to kill? Keep starving till he has to?
