it wasnt eating any of the hermits or snails so i got it a fish. atleast i know it has eaten now. it must have been getting fed fish of some sort.

Very nice mantis Shiva! Get what he doesn't eat out of there for sure! And then don't feed him for a while. He will eventually eat the hermits and snails... just give him time.

i took out the left-overs. it hadnt eaten since i got him a week ago today. I'm sure it's belly is full now!

any idea what species is that? its very beautiful!

It is an Odontodactylus havanensis. It would prefer to be able to dig a burrow out of gravel and rubble.

new tank should be in monday. it'll have a nice sandbed w/plenty of rubble, as well as some flat rocks which to burrow under. thanks roy.
