New Mantis

I just got my first mantis. I beleive it's a Gonodactylaceus graphurus, but I'm not totaly sure. No name yet, but here's a few pics.

I can't see all of the critical characters, but it looks like a male Gonodactylus chiragra. Gonodactylaceus graphurus would have bright orange meral spots and five carinae on the telson.

what is the smallest tank you could get for these guys I would love a mantis and Ive been reading through the threads and I would just like to know what species I could get for a 5.5g aga.

A smithii is a nice choice for a 5.5 gal nano. I have a platysoma that fits great in a 6g nano but they are somewhat hard to come by but an excelent choice and very interesting species.

Dr. Roys says that the platysoma isnt very interactive is this true?

mine lunges out to grab crabs, then shoots back into his home...never to be seen again...for 3 days or so.
