New member with a "what is this"

Hello all! I am not new to the aquarium hobby, though I am new to saltwater. I have been in the hobby for about 6 years. I started with South American cichlids and grew to have tanks of all kinds from Malawi to black water, planted tanks; I have bred Malawi cichlids, and now have added a salt setup which has been running for about 7 months. I have been a lurker on this forum in the past, getting valuable info for each stage of my growing addiction. With my saltwater aquarium, I have had many new questions arise so I decided it was finally time to join this community.

So, on to my first question... The live rock in my tank has had many new little critters from the beginning. I've always been able to figure out what new little thing has popped up except for one. It started out looking like a small cluster of snail eggs several months ago. Strangely, they appeared to "sink" into the rock randomly. As time has gone on, it started getting bigger and then we started to see some pink coloring. It is now about the size of a pencil eraser and my best guess is that it is some sort of soft coral, but I could definitely be wrong! :lmao: Anyway, I would greatly appreciate it if someone knows what this is and can share the info with me... And I'll post the pic as soon as I figure out HOW to do that! :lol:
 
If this doesn't work I'll try something else... Sorry, been a while (years) since I posted pics on a forum... :lmao:

I am not sure... After months of searching for what it is, I am pretty much at the point of saying it must either be a white ball anemone or a corralimorph, but searching each of those comes up with tons of pictures that do not look like this...

corynactis to show up randomly throughout the tank since they form dense colonies and grow interconnected to each other. Pseudocorynactis, on the other hand, are loner. They are bigger and possibility of them spreading is higher. Although, it's still uncommon for pseudocorynactis to become a problem.

I just had an 6 feet aquarium installed with live rocks with natural sea water and it was just running good until my chiller got plugged out by mistake and was out of use for around 2 days. I just had introduced some cheap fishes for testing which turned dull with the temperature change and i could hardly find out 2 fishes. Guess its dead but could not find out...

My rocks which were blooming purple just gets covered by algae too much and same does my tank glass and back side acrylic. Although when scratched off the algae the rock appears immensely purple i am a bit worried with the possible death of fish.

Please advise is it an alarming fact of sudden algae growth and how to carry forward...
