New MH 250 20K Abyss Elos

I just replaced T5 6 bulb setup for the MH.
My question is which would be best to back up the MH?
VHO vs T5

I have not checked into VHO yet.

Its going over a 65 reef with mostly SPS. Started with the height of the MH at 13" high over the water.

I currently run phoenix bulbs with vho supplementation in my display. I used 2 actinic at first and then tried a vho 454 and actinic bulb. Great coloration with the 454 bulb..brings out the oranges and reds as well as the greens. I like the look in my display with a vho 454/actinic. Having said that, my recently setup frag tank has a 250watt phoenix bulb and 2 ati blue plus t5 bulbs. My colors are waaay better in the frag tank. thinking of changing my vho's to t5's and runing ati blue plus. Hope this helps.

I would recommend going with overdriven t5 bulbs and go with the ati blue +. The color is like the 454 vho but more intense.

i too un a de 250 w phoenix and 1 X 24 watt t5 ati blue plus and colors are sweet, almost that radium/vho pop
