New models of Tunze skimmers?

I thought I had read about some new Tunze hang-on type skimmers coming out sometime soon.

I have a 75g FW tank that I would like to switch over to SW, sumpless. It is in my formal living room so the tank needs to be dead silent.

Just wondering when the new skimmers would be out, if any of them would fit the bill as far as silence and skimming ability, and also how they would function with the slightly varying water levels to be found in a sumpless tank.

We still don't offer a hang on skimmer as we have yet to find a really good design that won't eventually lead to water on the floor or a big problem. The new skimmers are dual purpose for in tank or in sump and when used in tank they can handle about a 1" water level fluctuation a constant level will result in better skimming. In in sump mode they can handle a 4" fluctuation because they are equipped with a standpipe which is removed and plugged for in tank use. They should be out in late March.

I have never seen anything quieter, their is a slight noise like a tea kettle makes before it starts whistling, just kind of a soft whistle or air movement noise.

It is pretty strong for the price point. They have some really neat features including convertible between in tank and in sump and a valve that lets you choose from plankton safe recirculating skimming or full flow through stronger skimming. The body is black with blue details and a blue venturi screw. We should have them out in March. When used in sump it has a standpipe and can take a fluctuating water level. In tank you plug the hole for the standpipe and it isn'[t much different from the current models.
