New Montipora Cap. with silk-like thread coming off it

I got a Monti Cap frag today and after it had been in my tank a few hours I noticed a silk like thread coming off it, and several hours later the amount had increased. Does anyone know what this might be? Here is the best pic I could get:

Slime!

I just watched my LFS guy frag a nice chunk off this colony for me, and it did the same thing.

Commonly referred to as 'sliming', it's just reacting to being moved. May have been dry a little too long or kept in a bag a little too long. Often happens if it's been dipped or that was any abrasion to it's edge.

It'll clear up and be fine. Pretty much a bulletproof coral.
