New Nano Build

I have just purchased a Nisso Room Mate 903. This is a bit of a walk down memory lane for me, these were the first series of 'nanocubes' that spawned the recent models, these came on the market in Japan about 15 years ago, but are no longer made.

I thought that this would make a great Nano, but without the stock fixtures. The base and back are also plastic so can be drilled easily, so it will be sumped.

The tank's dimensions are:

28cm long x 33 cm wide x 38 cm high and holds 23 litres. I am intending it to be largely stocked with zoas.

I am going for something different on this and this is the reason for posting. I want to have the return flow spread over 4 outlets across the back of the tank. I have the pipework, but don't know what size pump to buy to get the necessary flow fomr the sump. Can anyone here advise what size of Eheim compact I would need need to get a decent amount of flow going through this?

Not sure if there are any other details people need, but happy to supply them if there are.

Many thanks.

Matt

Matt,

A fine aquarium for a zoa setup. I think the Eheim 1048 will be a fine choice for your setup. That will give you a turn over of 26 times per hour. Kind of strong but with some clever angling of your returns it should work quite well.
