I just took this out of the box and set it up. the pump makes a VERY loud click every time the pump cycles and if i turn it up to the fastes setting it stops working.... I have the documents from champion what should i do about this?

I just got a new nano wavebox and mine too is making a very loud click everytime the pump cycles on. Very annoying. I don't think this is typical? Should I return it?

Thank you,

My guess is that the disk is missing, I would remove the drive unit and use a small pen light to look at the bottom of the hole, on the shaft you should see a small raised disk. I would bet this was left out in production. It is not a big deal I can send one and other than the noise and annoyance it won't harm the pump.

No, that wouldn't make any sense, this a defect that is covered under warranty and you will need to disassemble and clean your pump regularly to keep warranty coverage (damage from neglect is not covered under warranty). Just check it out, let me know and we can diagnose it I can just send the part you need.

I am out of this part but I will break down a pump to get this for you ASAP. PM me your address and I will send the part out tomorrow.

Yes it is, but I will do my best to solve it, just PM me your info and I will get one mailed to you. My assumption is they got too busy around Christmas and rushed the production and this part was left out, it is just a shim that prevents the drive unit from clapping against the bottom, outside of the noise, no harm will come from this piece being missing.

I checked my nano box, it is missing as well... I was wondering if that clicking was a normal thing or not.. just took it as it was what it was. Unit still works great though.

Loud noise Tunze Comlin nano wavebox

Roger,

I just picked up a tunze nano wave box (comline wave box 6208. And it is making that really loud clicking noise everytime the pumpl kicks on, like a knocking noise. I saw other posts and it could be I'm missing a part. The impeller looks fine, so not sure how to fix.

Thanks, James

Roger, just checked and its not in the pump. How can I order one or get one.

Thanks, James

If you bought it new, email me a copy of the receipt, otherwise the part is 6055.740 and it can be ordered on tunze.com, they are just a few dollars.
