New nanostream 6055 with issues

I just set up a 6055 with a 7091 controller. It worked for about 10 minutes, only problem was a fairly loud click when the unit switched to on. 10 minutes later it wasn't working at all. When I plug in the power supply unit, the green light is on but flashes brighter every second or so. When I plug in the connector (1) into the pump (3) the light dims and alternates between off and on with the same periodicity. The green light on the 7091 also flashes with the same periodicity. I am plugged into a power strip with a built in GCFI. I don't know if any of this info is relevant. Also, the fit of the propeller housing is a little loose.

If I take off the housing, the impeller will make a turn every few seconds. Also, the red light "pump on indicator" on the 7091 blinks with a similar periodicity (red light turns on every second time the green light turns on). There is no water anywhere and the units all smell like new electronic equipment- no ozone smell. None of the units are heating up either.

Do you just have the one pump? If so do you have a friend with a 6055? It sounds like the power supply may be the issue. I was hoping we could trouble shoot it with another.

It does seem like a pretty clear cut issue with the power supply. I don't know anyone else who has one but I will post on the local board.
Thanks

If it is faster for you you could just send me the pump and power supply and I will replace whichever one is defective within a day of getting it.
