New Onyx Clowns - Looking for advice

I picked up a pair of Onyx clowns last Saturday. I wish I would have looked at the sticky here before I purchased them. Oh well.

I have a few questions. I have them in 1 29g tank with a heater, AquaClear powerhead, and an AC hang-on back filter filled with filter floss. I also have a good sized piece of live rock in the tank and some PVC fittings. I understand that I should not have used the live rock and that I should have had a sponge in the main tank, but I didn't.

I noticed yesterday that the female clown has a small white bump on her chin. Up until about two days ago they spent time swimming around the tank and through the PVC pieces. Lately they are staying on the opposite side of the tank near the surface of the water. Hopefully this is just due to too much flow? I have noticed the female swimming tail up head down too. Do I need to be worried about this behavior? My only thought could be that I adjusted my salinity.

Since I have obviously not done things as I should have, I am asking for advice on what I can/should do now. Do I need to treat for internal parasites or anything? Should I leave the live rock in with them and will I be able to return it to the main tank or shouldn't I do that now that it has been in the QT? Thank you for the advice.

Are they WC or CB? Did they come out of a community tank or tanks that were plumbed together? Are they eating, and what color is their feces? Is their breathing rate rapid? Did the LR and water come from the same tank? Are you running carbon? If not, are you doing water changes to keep ammonia down? Is the female swimming into the water flow?

I believe they are wild caught, but I could be wrong. I will try to find out tonight. They came out of a tank that was being taken down. They are eating mysis and NLS fine. Breathing seems normal. Live rock came out of my tank. I am not running carbon, but so far ammonia has not been detectable. I will be doing water changes as necessary.

I would leave them alone for now, and just stay on top of the water changes, and I would probably run carbon as well. If their feces isn't white and stringy, I wouldn't worry about parasites at this time.

I found out today that these clowns are not WC, they are CB. I am thinking everything is probably ok and I am just getting paranoid. Feces is brown, not white and they are eating great.

Is it still advisable to leave them in quarantine even though and for how long? It has been one week as of today. I was thinking 4-6 weeks total. Thanks again.
