A couple of months ago I replaced my Osmolator with a new model. Just last week the pump has really weakened, where when power is applied, it barely pumps. Is there anything I can do to the pump to get it to work better? Maybe cleaning it. It seems to be very clean, since it just sits in RO/DI water.
At first the pump didn't run at all, and I thought it might be the control box. However, after testing it with a DMM, I found voltage, when voltage should be present. The pump itself was tested, and found to be alright. So I started to tap on the pump body, and it seems the brushes were sticking, because that got the pump to start running again.
I'm kind of disappointed since my original Osmolator lasted a few years, and this new one is belly after two months.
