Petco in fairview is aweful to go in to, you have to be bleeding and almost dead on the floor to get any help. Usually everything is dead or dying when it comes to the saltwater fish. If you do get something they ask you 50 questions as if you are going to be putting saltwater fish in freshwater. I guess because i was buying feeder fish for my black ghost knife they thought i was gonna put everything in one tank. but asking me "what size tank are the rosey reds going into?"...uh...they are food! it doesn't matter, "what size tank is the feather duster going into?" uh a 12 gallon nano cube "oh thats way too small, its not gonna make it." Oh and the famous, i know more then you because i work at Petco. Whatever, I worked at petsmart for 5 years and that does not in anyway make me an expert with birds, reptiles, dogs, cats or fish maybe just a little more knowledgeable. I purchased a feather duster about a year ago and they acted as if i was putting a lion fish in my 12 gallon nano cube. Petco in Alton is just about the same with customer service but not as bad as fairview heights with the dramatics. Petsmarts customer service is not great either. Management would let stupid teenagers who don't care about the hobbyist tell people just about anything to get them out of the building. Can you sense any hostility in this?
