New pics of the tank

I just got my corals back from Fade today. I thought it would be a good idea to take some pics. For some reason, the pics look dark. I don't know if it's the T-5's or there isn't enough light? The tank seems bright in person, but the pics didn't turn out like they did when I had metal halides on the tank. By the way, thanks John for holding my corals for so long!

You need to borrow the SEASL PAR meter so you can find out just how much light the T5's are giving you. What you see with your eyes is not an accurate indicator of actual light hitting the corals. But I bet you already know that huh?

Nice to see you got your new tank up and running. I'm sure it wont take long for this tank to look as good(if not better) as your old tank did. Good luck!

Thanks Romy.
Lisa, I know the par ratings on the bulbs I am using. Maybe I need more bulbs or more white bulbs?

Here is one of the last pics of my last tank. It isn't that much brighter. Maybe it's all the blue I am running?

The PAR meter is submersible. It will tell you how much of your light is penetrating and at each depth you measure. I was amazed how much difference just a couple of inches of water makes to the amount of light getting through.

Do you have a raspberry milli that made it back?

Your tank looks very light and very nice.

No, I don't have the raspberry mille. The only mille I have left is a half dead green one.

Thanks. It just sucks you have to wait for everything to grow. Patience is the key.:(

Give it time and it will look as good or better than your last tank and that one looked real good.

The bulbs are working out great. I have coralline algae growing on the rocks now. It didn't grow with the t-5's.

Unfortunately, I had to pull my flame back angel out. It was nipping at the corals to much. I have noticed over the past week or two that my corals were showing less polyp extension. I lost one coral a few weeks back that had no extension. It's been almost two days now and I already see the polyps coming out. Now I have to figure out what kind of fish to replace it with.

Mike,
It looks great and soon it will be back to what you had-if not better! I thought you use to keep anthias? Good luck

I did, but they need to eat often and I don't want issues with feeding to much.
