oh and could anyone help me on this one , I need to ID it and figure out whats going on Im scared he is starting to bleach , as of yesterday he has lost some coloration , and im not sure if he's just changing or if he is dying ?!? Any help would be wonderful!

Oh and one last thing could someone tell me what this might be?

I dont know what the 2nd to last pic is but it may just be fading do to change in lighting. It doesnt look like its dying. Thats not the xl gigas from marine warehouse is it? I just bought a 5"-6" gigas from finz last night and may end up with the xl gigas at marine warehouse this weekend if its still there.

LOL , no your welcome to the one at the warehouse. Both of mine are from some time ago but dwarf over the size of the one at the warehouse.... The T. squamosa I just bough is however about the same size though as the T. gigas at the warehouse. Just FYI....reconsider what they are asking because if you look around sometimes you can find a decent deal, and not that Im gonna bash it but the gigas is probably only worth 100 to 150 max... not the 2 that they were asking for it... just some food for though, cause you might be able to bring them down if you really want it.... shipping on something that size shouldnt have been more then 100. Post some pics though I would love to see your tank and clam !!!! HAPPY REEFING !

I actually thought about trying to talk them down on price. They have had the gigas for a while. If they wont come down i will probably search around. I have been dying to post full tank pics but my coral addiction out ways buying a digital camera. Hopefully i will get 1 soon. Where did you get all your clams from?

Everytime i see a vertical pic of a Crocea, i suddenly start to feel dirty....I guess im just a big perv. But let me tell you one thing, if you ever see this exact thing, including color, on a person; i would stay away...or quarintine it....

By this do you mean your are smaller or larger?

First off thanks Im really using a crapy dig. camera that doesnt do as high resolution as I would like... its one of the cheap kodak ones. But anyways I got my smaller gigas at Exotic Aquatics almost a year back now, give or take... My large one I aquired from Finz in tampa when they first opened their doors... Chris and Chris were very nice, I knew what they had and we worked a wonderful deal... and ever since I have been a fateful customer to them. But no by dwarfing Im talking larger, the gigas at the Warehouse is sm. probably only at the 10" mark or so, my smallest one is somewhere at 16-20" and my large one is between 30-34" not to mention my squamosa I just got today that is between 12-14". Im gonna see about posting a full tank shot with all three clams ... see below ... lol

Man those are awsome. I cant wait till my tank fills in. Its only a couple months old so i dont have anything large yet just mainly little frags. I will get a camera soon and post some pics.

that would be awsome! I would love to see the progress... but hope the gigas works out for you, and if not check with Chris and Chris over at finz and see what they might be able to do for you because they have had some good luck with getting some of the larger clams in.... just a thought! I got my small 1 from them yesterday and they had sold the big 1 they had recently for $500 and from what i understand it is no longer alive. They said they were working on getting another 1. I will be in tampa saturday so i will probably stop there and talk to them and see what they can do. I like the store they are very helpful.
I dont know if you knew but they are supposed to get a shipment of 60+ corals tomorrow.

ya he was fine..and he's definitly a beauty sitting in there..I would like to come up sometime and see about trading or buying a couple frags. let me know when might be a good time for you..I'm looking for a nice birdsnest if u can get any..and i'll see if I can dream up a few more..take care and talk with ya soon!

John,

if its the round one, that's teal,red and pink I was told it was an oxypora,or a melting lava echinophilia..to be completely honest though I'm still not certain but he's growing good and has some wonderful color in person vs. in the pic. it just doesn't do it justice.Any suggestions I'm always open!

I just realized that your talking about the close up of the red one. Im not sure what it is because it has sm. tenticles which come out to feed assumingly... but if thats what it is I would be happy with knowing. Sorry I though that you were talking about my other one that Im trying to place a name on...
