It's Spring!!!!!!!
I've started playing with the camera some more; thought I'd share.

I finally have coralline spreading. It took a lot longer that it seems to have taken other peoples' tanks.

I am absolutely loving my tank! I love to just sit and stare and imagine what I will add and where it will go!

Seriatopora caliendrum from Tad:

Zoa colony from Dan. The centers look yellow under full light and green with just actinics. I love it! Any ideas about a name Dan? Just curious.

Purple mushroom; has a baby hiding under there too!

FTS. You can actually see all three fish! They were impatiently waiting to be fed, especially the wrasse.

tank is looking great! everything looks so healthy :)

The zoas have no name attached to them as far as i know. Then again, these days, every zoas has some crazy name.

Looks great! Your photography looks good too :) Gotta get me a camera....
I love the YWG shots, but then again, I'm a bit partial :)
What are some of your future plans?

Thanks so much for the compliments!

Tad, how's the zoa frag doing?

Scott, thanks again for the chaeto. It's growing well and harboring all sorts of fun stuff!

Heh, me too! Of course he's the one I have the most of simply because he sits still! Here's one I took a while after I originally posted. The shrimp has been doing some more serious excavating lately, not just the maintenance digging. :worried2:

I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with this angle. I was thinking of putting a gorg somewhat near the bottom of that rock on the right, but now I'm thinking something different. I just don't know what.

What are some of your future plans?
I'm not sure. For that rock on the right (the "ric rock", as you're looking at the front of the tank) I was thinking of a torch and just above that maybe a pagoda cup. Other than that I'm not sure. There isn't a lot of space to put anything on the sand, and I really can't anyway because of the pistol shrimp. In a while I'll start adding some more SPS frags; poci and I'm thinking a tabling acro for the upper right-ish section, but I'm worried it'll get too big. If I thought I'd be good about feeding a sun coral, I have a couple of great spots for one! I'm mostly just looking around at what's available and how others have set up their tanks.

It seems pretty bare for having been wet since early September '09, but I'm kind of proud for taking my time. Reeeally taking my time! ;) :)

Oh, anyone want those pink palys on the bottom? They aren't really happy where they are and I just don't know what to do with them. I got them from kase at the swap in March. I have better pics.

Looking great! Love the pics. If you like the idea of a tabling acro I'd go ahead and do it. If it does get too big, you can always frag. :) Sun coral are beauts for sure but I'm with you on that, not sure I'd be good about feeding one either. I'm a big fan of Whisker/Duncan coral and any others that can be fed, but don't require it. There are quite a few around here that frag their Duncan coral every so often.

LOVE the new ywg pic!!
Plans sounds good - for the sand bed you might want to look into the "walking dendro." I'm contemplating one for my tank because of the "pistol problem." :) I know Kat has one, so I still need to talk to her about how it's going.

hey guys...going through withdrawal here....walking dendro. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It's such a special little reef pet in the 90g. And they come in a variety of color variations.

Some pictures I took today. If I was more ambitious I would show some side-by-side shots of the frags I got from Tad back in May. The monti caps and birdsnest have been growing great, the birdsnest has about doubled.

Last week I finally got another fish! A coral beauty. I've been having some trouble getting him to eat, but I think he's finally getting the hang of it, but for the most part he seems like he's too busy planning his escape to eat. :lmao:

One, unattached mushroom a couple of months ago to this . . .
