New Pintail Fairy Wrasse

I am an admitted wrasse addict for many years now and I have been watching for one of these. NY Aquatics got in a super male and I decided to take the plunge. The picture is not mine, but it is the same fish. It came in today and it is truly as spectacular as the picture. The lanceolate tail is just awesome! Lineatus have always been my favorite, but they may have just moved to second place.

He is acclimated and in quarantine and when he settles in a little, I will try to get some pictures up.

Thanks,
Mark

Yes, I did. I have had that guy for a few months now and he is doing very well. Another one of my favorites!

So many wrasses.....so few gallons.

Yeah Michael is a good guy, fortunately he's not that far from my home, I picked up some pintails when he first rec'd them (and he wasn't sure what they were)...

So few gallons! Don't remind me... I'm starting to remove some large tangs so that I can add more wrasses... Have close to 40 now!

I have a son at NYU these days and hope to make a Yankees game and visit Michael's store in about a month. Sounds like a good trip to me!!

Nice pickup :) I bought my juvi/transitioning male from NYA a few months ago. Waiting patiently for it to complete the change. Absolutely stunning fish when terminal male!

He is settling in, but still very cautious. Not skittish, just hides and watches. He stays under the sponge filter (which is off the bottom just a little) most of the time, but makes dashes out to feed. I can probably get a picture in a day or two.

I have to go check on him from time to time just because I can't believe he really is as good looking as the picture! I hope he holds the color.
