I added a male/female pair of pintail wrasses to my tank last week following my regular quarantine procedure. All was good and still is (mostly).
This is my first male/female pair. They are both doing very well. They eat like pigs and are always out and about. One thing I noticed is that the female is picking on the male at times and the male just displays his nuptial colors when the female approaches him. He doesn't seem to be stressed by her advances, but I'm wondering if this is normal behavior or if she is trying to assert her dominance and become a male.
This behavior becomes more apparent later in the evening.
Thanks.
