New place to find some rare corals

Went by an old store with a new owner. The Store is Tropical Reef Aquarium 1732 Taraval St SF (415)664-3552. He just received a Aussie shipment of corals last week and other some other non indo Acans.He told me he sold a lot of stuff already but I found a Alien eye and watermelon. Got both at a great price great price. Some other I saw were bright red aussie acans with lots of heads.Very good price on these. Go by and check it out. Owner name is Mike and he’s a nice guy. Lots of other rare Ehico frags. Please go pick some up and save me some money since I have my eye on a few others.

While nice, I don't know how much I'd put the "rare" stamp on Aussie stuff just now, since it seems more shipments are coming out of there (non-Sps that is), you might be getting in on this "rare" group right as the bubble is bursting... ie you'll be paying a premium for something that will be more common shortly there after.

we'e been hearing so much about Aussie shipments...I wonder if they recently opened up?

Boy, I thought the watermelons and alien eye were rares.I didn't know they are aussie corals.Still have lots to learn. But The price of these were less then 1/2 of what I have seen in other places. So I guess these are the new going price. Great to see lower price on the ones I want now.

I think that Mike was just referring to the Aussie Acans that you commented on.. not the other LPS . They look like nice finds.. congrats

BTW: where do the watermelon and alien eye come from? Who named them?
