Hi I just got a new plate coral Ive had it 1 week, it seems fine and it swells up and is all pink and nice with its tentacle all over the place. I put it on a sand bed it between some rock and a plastic roman arch debris looking decoration so it doesnt wonder into trouble. Feeding it phytoplancton and brine shrimp. All levels are fine But when the lights go off it shrinks completly. I can see the bone structure . Is it ok for it to do that?

Yes it is normal for the coral to shrink up when the lights go out. All corals will do this or get smaller after the lights in the tabnk go out.

They will take meaty foods willingly, maybe a very small portion of Freeze dried krill. Or you could even diretc feed it with some mysis shrimp. Otherwise it will survive mainly by the light given.
