Hello Everyone!

I just posted my new ELOS System 70 build thread in the ELOS USA Forum! I'm using a Profilux System on it and I love it so far!

Thanks!

wow this is great you should post this on the Equipment section of RC as well so others can see the greatness of ProfiLux and of course Elos :)

The coral colours are superb ;)

AQD_ottawa: Thanks and I'll go ahead and post in the Equipment section. Also, I'll make a special note in regards to how nice the ProfiLux is as well! ;)

wesheltonj: I actually designed the reservoir but had it made professionally through Einstien Aquatics in Atlanta, GA.

I am looking for a similar set up to install here for us to do product testing.

Would be interested in what comes with the elos 70, i.e sump etc?

Its the best tank I've ever owned by far! Here are the standard specifications for the System 70 from the ELOS website.

- Glass tank: 75x57x50h cm (29.52 x 22.44 x 19.7 h inch.), capacity 210 lt. (55 gallons)
- Cabinet: 75x57x80h cm (29.52 x 22.44 x 31.5 h inch.)
- Glass filter: SUMP 400 Marine including Mechanical Filter, filter bags, biological chamber with regulating tap, spare water chamber.
- Skimmer: NS 500 including EHEIM 1250 pump
- Level controller: Osmocontroller II including pump (This is a nice system as well, but Im using the ProfiLux)
- Pipings: Dry overflow with corrugated tube including connections, silicon tube and exit pipings
- Return pump: EHEIM 1250

Hi

Most likely a custom cube made by one of my dealers Marine Tech innovations, just waiting for them to get back to me. On this I will also be running 2 x aquarium illuminations LED systems controlled by the profiLux

This is what I am thinking of

But I love the sharpness of your Elos system its just so hard to get hold of here in Canada :(

That looks pretty nice though! What type of product testing are you planning on doing?

Also, I wanted to share some ProfiLux wiring pictures that took for another thread. Here's how I setup the ProfiLux system in my ELOS:

Most of the wiring is hidden in the controller shelf and wire bin. Here are a few pictures of the wiring in the stand. Zip-ties are definitely the key to success! :)

The controller shelf mount and wire bin was made of prefab white shelving and a piece of kitchen tupperware i purchased at Home Depot:

In the process of running wires for the ProfiLux:

Wiring complete and almost overflowing!

Wires running to wire bin from sump and lighting fixture:

Wires in sump:

Looking back, I actually needed a slightly larger wire bin to hold all the wires. I would have liked to put all the bundled wires in the bin, but I simply didn't have room for all of them.

You are giving me some good ideas ;)

The plan is to start this if all planets align mid January, I will be starting a sticky thread both on this forum and the Fauna Marin forum, each thread will link to each other depending on what subject is being talked about.

Here is a list of things we will evaluate

ProfiLux controlling Ai LED lighting
ProfiLux ATO (not AWC as system too small)
Profilux dosing trace elements
Remote access
Anything else I can squeeze in ;)

Fauna Marin-

Balling method
Trace B element dosing and changes to corals
Review of Ultra Clam
Review of various foods
ULNS dosing

I would of loved to incorporate the FM star fire T5 fixture but with a 24" tank I would get too much light over hang :(

AQD_ottawa: Thanks for your help fixing my Profilux the other day and your tank is looking great. I do have a quick update on my tank for you guys!

I upgraded my Profilux II controller to a Profilux III controller! In addition, the tank can now be wirelessly controlled via a Linksys wireless bridge.

Also, I just cleaned my tank, so as soon as the water clears up I will tanks some pictures. I've had some great coral growth over the last two months!

Thanks!

wow awesome system! what are you dosing to get those colours? Other than balling.

I am playing with all manner of things to get the colour out, I have got the blues and greens to pop but struggling with the oranges and purples.
