New project

Aquarist
I wanted to share my new project with the club.
It's a 60"x36"x36" Acrylic peninsula tank made by Cal Aquaria. I have it drilled for a closed loop. And an internal overflow open loop with sump.

People have been asking what I've been doing in NYC. So I figured this new project would be a great way to show everyone what I do at City Aquarium.

The custom sump was built by My Reef Creations. It's 36"x24"x24" with two sock holders and room for a FMC-822 media reactor and a MR-2 skimmer both built by My reef creations.

Hey Grant how's it going?

Here a pic of the skimmer

James,

looking good. I'm guessing that's for a customer install. What are we seeing in the background. Is that a show room?

I am Planning on using 6 x 100 Watt Elliptical Cannon LED 3 white and 3 blue in tandem.

And using "Real Reef Rock" for the hardscape.

Large tanks are awesome, when they are being maintained by other people. ;)

I calculate about 337 gallons. Yeah buddy. Is it going to be reef or fowlr?

A tank that size might be able to accommodate more than one tang. :lmao:

The studio/showroom looks sleek. Almost like a "modern reef gallery"

That is exactly what it is. We call it "Space".

We have four coral flats with ecoxotic 100w elliptical cannons on rails.
With a Giant 8' ETSS Downdraft skimmer.

Then on the other side our fish life support system. We quarantine everything before it goes out to a client.

Guy, it's been a lot of fun. And a great experience. It's my dream job. If you call cleaning protein skimmers all day a dream job:).
