New prop system

Sorry, I think the server where those pictures are was closed. That's the problem with free hosting :(

As I don't remember exactly what pictures were in the initial posts I'm going to search for them in my hard drive and put them again here soon.

As for tanks update the Premnas couple start to put eggs again and I setup a small maternity tank to collect larvae and try to raise them.

this thread used to have great pictures in it - any chance you found them again, and were able to upload them? Let me know if you need help in hosting.

take care,

marco

Hello Ricardo,

:wavehand:

it is really a pitty that your old pics are gone from this thread - from the description I know how some of them must look like - but would also like to see them.

was nice to meet you and visit your place

I have posted about my trip to Portugal and Lisboa in the German forum - although it is in German - at least the pictures are self explanatory:
http://www.meerwasserforum.com/thread.php?threadid=45034&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1

You can see there also the pics from your tank (I like the one with the hepatus most)

and as you can see the actinias do well, as also your corals.

Liked to exchange corals with Portugal :D
Hope to spread the "Austrians" in many portugese tanks as well.

Hallo Markus,

Yes, I must put the old photos online again. I'm trying to get my own personal homepage to put all the files there. As this website is going to be .pt I'm waiting for authorization.

You're always welcome to visit us again. It's great to share our reef tank experiences and talk about this amazing world.

I already attached your gorgonians and the Caulatrea to a piece of rock so now I can move them to a better location. The Caulastrea was also divided into two parts (2 heads each) with the Dremel.

For an update on this 2 tanks: the upper tank in now empty and soon it will house several small baby clownfish (from a friend's hatchery), it will be a growing tank for fishes until I'll do an update on the lighting. The lower tank is working as reserve tank for Sarcophyton corals, fishes and a big Heteractis anemone and his Tomato clownfish pair. I'm going to change the lighting too and I'm waiting for a 6x80W T5 Sunpower modell from ATI. This fixture will give a better light coverage to the tank than the 150W metal halide.

Photos soon (as I get my very own homepage).

Regards

rrodrigues- I have toyed with the idea of setting up a zoa only prop tank that is about 3-4" tall. I thought about using raceways to divide the tank up and to reduce the size pump needed to keep a decent flow in the system. Something like 4' x 2.5' x 4" tall and building a rack to house like three of these tanks similar to yours. The top tank would empty into the middle tank and then empty into the tank below and so on. The flow would be constant through out all tanks at every space due to the raceways. The light needs would be minimal due to the height of the tanks. But this set up would probably only work for zoa's, paly's and maybe rics. Any thoughts?
