New purple and blue gigantea videos

Not the best clarity (taken with my digital camera).
These are my new (got them yesterday) 15" purple and 12" blue giganteas. The purple looks really good, well inflated, sticky, attached to rockscape. The blue....not so much. Doubt it will last more than a few days unfortunately. As you can see it is deflated, not attaching and gaping somewhat.
I'm going to try and divert a tad bit more random flow towards them tomorrow. They are sitting directly under two 400 watt 14K phoenix bulbs.
These are my last attempt at giganteas before I throw in the towel. Wish me luck!

Those are some big anemones. Too bad the blue one isn't looking so good. I like the color a lot.

Thanks Phender. I feel bad for the blue one. Its going through the inflated/deflated, gaping/tight mouth roller coaster right now. I keep hoping it will pull through and attach itself. I just checked on it and it has become very sticky though, but I doubt its going to make it.
Believe it or not, I won them on ebay. Both of them for $125 plus shipping!

Wha tabout doing a QT w/ Doxycycline for the blue one. It sounds like people have a lot of luck w/ that treatment. I hope he works out for you.

Oh, That is just punishment!

I have been begging for a Carpet (Locally) of any color for months now. Seems nobody has any. Even the LFS's had none.

Great Anemones! I hope that they do well. i also picked up a purple gigantea last week locally. It's around 12" when open. In the video below it just got some food so it is folded up....

Unfortunately, as expected, I had to flush the blue carpet yesterday. It started to melt. Good news is that the seller has promised to replace it.
The large purple is still looking good as of this morning.
Fingers are crossed that it makes it.

Thats too bad but as can be expected a 50 50 chance with these guys. Thats awesome about the supplier replaceing it you dont see that every day! Good luck with the new one keep us updated on how it gos!
