No, that is not have true roses are determined. Yes, you have a true rose, but some have a brown base, some maroon, some purple, and some just a lightish brown/white. I have one of each, i actually just aquired a purple base one two days ago, except yours is much bigger. Mine barely is two inches.Originally posted by arcab4
is that how true rbta's are determined? so what would be the regular base color ones be? I've seen the greenish/speckled red ones (i have one) and then i have the really bright red ones that make the greenish/speckled red ones look really bland. I never had a purple base one yet..but this was the first time i heard purple base being true rbta's. just curious.
the purple base does make it look much more stunning. great addition to your tank.

They are all BTAs. Their color is their color. There are hundreds of different color morphs depending on where they were collected. They are worth exactly what you pay for them or what you can get someone else to pay for them and nothing more.
And yes, the color is stable.
Although I really consider it more of a hot pink rather than purple.

On my RBTAs, the base color and the tentacle color are the same as your 'nem's base. Although I really consider it more of a hot pink rather than purple.
And yes, the color is stable.
