New QT - Hyposalinity

My QT is about ready and I need to treat a few fish in it for ich. I am going the hyposalinity route and have kind of practiced adjusting the salinity levels without any fish in there so I don't mess up. The only problem I have run into is that my pH drops. What is the best way to maintain pH during hyposalinity?

Thanks

a buffer will help it. Or considering it's a QT and money may be a factor in running two systems I've heard baking soda will do the trick. Not sure on dosing that may be someone else's department to chime in with. I use buffer only because I buy it in bulk now.

Also, the drop in SG can be done in a day where the raise should only be .002 per 24 hours. And a refractometer is essential. I had the greatest advice I could get when someone said once you have it at 1.009 make a water line on the side and keep it topped off on that and you shouldn't have any problems keeping it there.
