New RBTA and Occelaris Clowns? Hosting?

Im sure this has been asked before so my apologies. I've had two occelaris clowns (one black, one orange)in my tank for the past year and decided they need a home. Just purchased a nice healthy RBTA that is doing great in my tank. Questions is, how long does it usually tank the clowns to host it? I've heard anywhere from weeks to 1 year. Also read about people taping a picture of a clownfish/nem to the side of the tank to help?

From what i've read there isn't really a usual timeframe, and from what i've gathered patience is the key. I too am waiting for the exact same match up to occur in my tank and i'm curious to try the picture taping to the side of the tank. From what i've gathered on that, several people have tried it with mixed results. But who's to say the clowns didn't just finally decide to pair with the nem and it had nothing to do with the picture? I dont know either way but I'm anxious for this to take place, and provided it doesn't happen soon I'll be trying the same thing. However, I too am curious as to what other people may have to say!

No worries, asked the same question about a month ago when i got my new rbta aaand about week ago my orange occelaris finally started started hosting it! I think you'll start to see em kinda checkin it out and almost attempting to swim close into it, then swim away (i think because they need to build up either some similar membrane as the rbta or an immunity or something along those lines??) but not sure when that started. So ya mine took ~24 days and I put the picture of the two up a couple days after getting the anemone and then I got tired of it after like a week and took it down; so idk. But good luck hope it happens quick for ya!

I had my black and white occies in the tank before the Nem. They don't host anything but the side wall of the tank where the powerhead is...
I looked after a friends clarky and it went straight in.. I hoped my occies would kick him out eventually and host the bta, this wasn't the case however.
I don't think mine will ever host.
