installed new a new phosphate and carbon reactors and after all day it starting leaking phosphate media into my sump and is now pumping it back into my tank how bad is that and how do i get it out? looks like pepper all over my sand and all my corals? any help would be great?

Should not be a problem except for the removal of it. I had a sack of carbon break in my sump once. I turned off all of the pumps and removed it slowly by hand. PO4 media is much smaller. Can you syphon it out of the tank with a water change?

use a hose and suck it out, even if you take sand with it. what brand is it? some will leach it back out into your system and some you can really leave in there forever (from what the label said). the main problem with phosphate media is when you run too much water threw them and they rub together. that is bad for everything. but for the most part that shouldnt be happening, except by your pump on the way back up. is your water turning brown or cloudy? if it is you need to do water change right away or maybe remove fish.
