New red carpet, Have a question

Blue Carpet Anemone

Blue Carpet Anemone

Trying to get a blue one to add to the collection.

My friend is most likely breaking down his tank, divorce situation, and he has a blue carpet. If he does, would you be interested? Where are you located?
FYI...I have a green one up for sale in the livestock thread :)

US,, I have a green one already, Send me a pm with his info. Thanks. I am in SE Michigan.

Well yesterday and today he has been opened up better and not covering up his mouth, I think he found a happy place. Knock on wood.
I was worried he would pick a spot like my green haddoni and it be a place in the tank where no one can tell he is there. LOL

I am going thru a cyano bloom. I thought it was getting better, But it's lingering on. I am leaving lights off today and maybe tomorrow. Changing out carbon and gfo today. Nutrients are low, I ran years of alk at 12dkh and this last 6 mos lowered it to 8dkh so i have been having some algae popping up and now the cyano where i never had it before. I have to scrape the glass once every 10 or more days and even then its not bad at all. Po4 is .02.I think the rock is leaching out some stuff.

Nice nem,

The only person i know selling reds are selling for $500+ and ALOT more for show size..

I often have a cyano problem when my ALK and Calcium get out of whack. Every other parameter is perfect. It's weird how finicky our systems can be.

Beautiful nem.

Thanks guys,, Mello that reminds me to check my CA. I have been checking alk so much and have not checked my CA in a couple weeks.
Heres a pic of it this morning, Lights are out so it's not as inflated as much as it is during photo period.

it's looking good to me. Best of luck and i really hope it will thrive in your system. how long have it been in captive? refrain from feeding say for a week so it can re-establish itself before it has to digest the food you give it. sometime feeding do more harm than good.

Thanks all. Heres a pic of me messing with sasquatch i mean the sohal. LOL
He hates the glass scraper, But overall is timid. He will eat out of my hands and nibble on my fingers. He hates the scraper because usually when he see's it it i am trying to keep him and the purple away from the feeding nems and chase him with it. You can see the red, Its just after lights on.

Sorry i did not see this earlier.
Its been in cap from what i can tell only for a short time. The guy i got it from only had it a week, and I have had it roughly 2 weeks. It seems to be settling down in its spot.

I fed it again last night, He is super sticky, A little slow to swallow it but i am used to my green closing up like i never feed it, But its not anywhere as big as the red.

Also he has a red lipstick mouth, I don't know how i did not see it
but its there now.

Well i am afraid he has moved a couple more inches to a spot thats hard to see. :( better for corals i guess, and bad if i want to see him very well. LOL
Nothing i didnt expect, I tried though. The flow there is the slowest, It gets strong light, and he is in a bank of rock and sand. the green haddoni placement is mirrored and he has been there for almost 2 years.
His health seems very good, Mouth is nice and tight and he is VERY sticky now.

Nice nem what did ya havde to give for this nbad boy! I love mine and wish i wouldnt have sold my blue! Try putting some more fom to the area whee its at maybe that will bring him back to be able to see!

Thanks, The flow the way it is now is the best all around for all my corals and not disturbing the sand bed. As the tank fills in i can move it around a little, if i move it now the sand will blow around. Right now the sps get lots of flow and the lps, zoa's, and nems get a slow gentle current. I can see him if i go the side of the tank and look across 5 feet of water. LOL The fish room is a few mos off and then i will have a special cube for nems only.

It set me back some high end frags, The original owner had a smaller tank and did not know they grew this big. Worked out for me though as its very hard to get healthy nems here in MI other than online, and then you really don't know what ya get till you get it. He was expecting a smaller size. The clown there is roughly 1.5 inches so ya can get an idea of size.
