just got this red for 70 bucks.

How do the yuma fare for you current? I honestly would never pay even 7 dollars for another yuma. I cant keep them alive for nothing and i dont really know any one who has.

hey aquarius77.. i got a ton of yumas..in two different tanks.. thier alot harder to keep, lower light an less flo is what mine like..
i hope that helps..

I've had yumas in my tank for over 3-4 years. Yumas are much more harder to frag than Floridas, but I find them just as hardy if you leave them alone.

Whats your alk like jimbo? What kind of yumas?
I have a yuma that is fine, its bright green in color. All my other varities die.

mine do great, I think when they are smaller, they like shade a little. the pink has gotten a little smaller, i think i need to put it in some shade. I have 6 yumas at the bottom of my tank and they are all huge but the pink one.

hey aquarius77 i try to keep my alk at 9..i did a huge water change last night, cuz im setting up new frag tanks an they loved the new water..but most of them are shaded.. an i had no luck keeping green yumas..

oh an ive had most of my yumas like for 7 to 8 months..an to me thier just as easy to frag as FLA..just more nerve racking..

I keep mine at whatever IO salt is mixed at. I usually just do water changes. But I'm thinking of dripping limewater to raise my pH since I have an All-in-one type of tank, and the gas exchange is most likely very poor.

I run my alk at about 11DKH and im starting to wonder if its killing the yuma.
If you drip lime be sure to test regular.
