Just got a small ricordia on a white block(aragonite?). How do I get it off? How do I attach it to My rock? I've read so much info I'm keep forgeting what I've learned, if I remember correctly You're not supposed to glue mushrooms is this correct? Thanks, Jeff

It is more of a "You can't glue" type thing. You can try to glue a mushroom, but usually it will have a slime coat that will allow it to slip right off the glue and disappear in your tank.

I assume it is attatched to a piece of rubble. If so you have a couple choices, you can just glue that piece of rubble to the rock you want the rics on, and let them colonize that rock, eventually the rubble will be hidden, or can be removed to sell the original ric to someone else later.
Second thing you could do is try and chip the rock at the foot of the ricordia, this is a bit riskier, due to possible damage to the ricordia, or yourself. But by just leaving a small amount of the rubble on the foot and getting rid of the majority of the rubble, you will still have enough rock attatched to it to allow glue to work without having to use the whole rock.

Another choice would be to remove the whole rock, which really risk damage to the ricordia and placeing the ricordia in a small container with some crushed coral and let it attatch to one of those and then glue that to a rock.

The problem is that it can take an hour, or it can take a month for it to attatch. I took a small tuppaware type container and poked holes in it for flow, then I put my fragged shrooms and ricordias in that container with some small rubble or crushed coral and hide it behind some rocks in my tank. That way they are in my tank, but not floating around freely, they will attach to what ever is in the container, then I can place them where I want in my tank.

Good luck!
