I'm about to setup a used tank. The tank has rim/trim around the bottom and the top. With a rimmed tank should I set it directly on level plywood, or should I set foam on top of the plywood?
That tank's weight is supported on the four corners. Do not put any type of foam under it because the tank could "sink" down and cause upward pressure on the seams that could lead to a leak. Place the tank on a firm level surface and you'll be good to go.
