new RO/DI unit questions

I got a RODI unit for Christmas. Finally got all of the plumbing to start it up tonight and something is not right. It is not puting out any waste water at all. And the "pure" water is flowing out at way to quick a rate. My luck, it is not discussed in the Trouble Shooting section of the manual or on their website. I'm sure I can contact them directly tomorrow but I was in the hopes that someone could help me tonight? The unit came with a flow restrictor attached to the drain line; when I remove it I still get not a drop of water, so I know that the restrictor is not clogged... I am not even close to being plumbing literate, so it may be something very stupid simple? Any help is appriciated! --Haley
