New ro unit and tds issues

There is a flow restrictor that should have came with your RO setup and it has to be matched to the size flow rate of RO membrane you have.

If you bought the same GPD RO membrane that the u it came with you should be OK but maybe it was shipped with the wrong one from the factory.

It came with a check valve is that it?

Check this link out it shows where it should be installed. It can be inside of the fitting/hose or it can be an online type but either type will be in the waste output line of the RO membrane. Its purpose is to keep the flow rate through the membrane correct so it can do its job.

I havent been around an RO system that didnt use one. I would contact who ever sold it to you and see what they say or you could buy a flow restrictor rated for your RO size and install it and see what happens.

I've ordered one its worth a try and it goes on the waste line from the to membrane?

I fitted it and it doesn't make a difference to the TDS.

I've uninstalled it now because my system would not flush properly. I have placed it where I installed in, not sure if it was in right place or not.

I see what line it is in but it looks like it tees into another line? Where does it go after that? Maybe you could video the whole system. Start at the input to the prefilters and follow it through the whole system. That way we may be able to see if something is plumbed wrong.

Yes that's what I thought. No sure now then. Still not getting 0 tds. New membrane and Di so I'm at a loss.
